1. About this policy
DropshipDuo (“DropshipDuo”, “we”, “us”) provides sourcing, dropshipping fulfillment, warehousing, shipping, inventory sync and after-sales support services for online sellers. This policy applies to personal information we handle when you visit this website, submit a contact or quote form, create or use a DropshipDuo account, or otherwise communicate with us.
It does not cover third-party websites or sales platforms you connect to us, which are governed by their own privacy policies.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us.
- Contact and quote forms: first and last name, work email, store URL, monthly order volume, product category, target sales platforms and the message you write.
- Account details: name, email, company name, phone number and login credentials when you register for the DropshipDuo dashboard.
- Correspondence: anything you send us by email, chat, WhatsApp, Slack or other support channels.
Information from your store and orders. When you connect a store and use our fulfillment services, we receive product, order and inventory data from your sales channels, including your customers’ names, shipping addresses, phone numbers and order contents.
Billing information. Invoices, payment records and transaction details. Card and bank details are entered with and processed by our payment providers.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the website, our servers record technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, preferred language, pages requested and the date and time of each request.
3. How we use your information
- To reply to enquiries, prepare sourcing and fulfillment quotes and arrange demos.
- To provide our services: sourcing products, processing and shipping orders, storing inventory, syncing stock and tracking information, and handling returns and after-sales issues.
- To create and manage your account, bill you and provide customer support.
- To keep our website and services secure, including preventing spam, fraud and abuse (for example, by limiting how often a form can be submitted).
- To understand what sellers need and improve our website and services.
- To send you service updates and, where permitted, marketing messages — you can unsubscribe at any time.
- To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations and to establish or defend legal claims.
4. Legal bases for processing
Where data protection laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR apply, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract — to provide the services you request and take steps before entering into a contract, such as preparing a quote.
- Legitimate interests — to run, secure and improve our business and respond to business enquiries, balanced against your rights.
- Consent — where you have agreed to be contacted or to receive marketing. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — where we must keep or disclose information by law.
5. Your customers’ data
When we fulfill orders on your behalf, we process your end customers’ personal information as your service provider (a “processor” under the GDPR). You remain responsible, as the controller, for having a lawful basis to share that data with us and for informing your customers in your own privacy notice. We use this data only to fulfill, ship and support the related orders and as otherwise instructed by you or required by law.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business and provide our services:
- Fulfillment partners — suppliers, factories, warehouses, logistics companies and carriers that source, pack and deliver orders.
- Sales platforms you connect — such as Shopify, Amazon, TikTok Shop, WooCommerce, Temu, Shoplazza and Wix, to sync orders, inventory and tracking.
- Service providers — hosting, IT, communication and payment providers that act on our instructions.
- Authorities and advisers — customs and tax authorities, regulators, courts or professional advisers where required by law or to protect our rights.
- Business transfers — a buyer or successor in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
7. International transfers
We operate a global sourcing and fulfillment network, so your information may be processed in countries other than the one you live in, including China and the countries where our warehouses and carriers operate. Where the law requires it, we put appropriate safeguards in place for these transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
8. Cookies and local storage
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. We store your language choice in your browser’s local storage so the site is shown in the same language next time; you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers and shares your IP address with Google. The DropshipDuo dashboard may use essential cookies to keep you signed in.
9. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy. Enquiry and quote information is kept while we follow up with you and for a reasonable period afterwards. Account and order information is kept for as long as your account is active and then for as long as required by tax, accounting and other legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
10. How we protect information
We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections, access controls that limit data to the people who need it, and confidentiality obligations for our staff and partners. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the relevant authorities of a data breach where the law requires.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information;
- restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing;
- receive your information in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where we rely on it.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will reply within the time required by applicable law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
12. Children
Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and if the changes are significant we will notify you by email or through the dashboard.
